HPC-SIG-Oxford

Chairs: Dr Steven Young (Oxford eResearch Centre), Man-Suen Chan (Physics), Pete Gronbech (Physics)

The Oxford Supercomputing Centre (OSC) in conjunction with ICT Forum has created a special interest group for those involved with providing high performance computing (HPC) and advanced research computing services across Oxford.

This SIG is open to anyone within Oxford to discuss issues around HPC and advanced research computing in general. From technical to policy to funding issues.

Web SIG

Chair: Jim Leek (IT Services)

The Web Special Interest Group is a group to promote collaboration amongst the web community within the University. It is open to all within the University who have an interest in the web & web technology, or have some responsibility for the web in their unit.

We generally meet once a term, and use the web-discuss@maillist.ox.ac.uk mailing list to communicate. Typically a meeting will start with a couple of quick talks by members of the Oxford web community, followed by coffee & biscuits and then 'unconference' style sessions, where members split up into groups and talk about topics of interest.

Please view previous events on our website: https://sharepoint.nexus.ox.ac.uk/sites/websig

If you want to know more or join the group please contact jim.leek@it.ox.ac.uk
